HOEDSPRUIT - In the past two months several rabies cases have been reported on the wildlife estates in the Hoedspruit area. The species affected include jackal, wild dog and mongoose. This calls for action and, above all, awareness of this serious threat.

HOEDSPRUIT – On August 5, Raptor’s View residents and Southern Cross School staff and pupils were alerted to the unusual behaviour of a jackal in the area. About a month earlier a jackal had died on the estate and tested positive for Rabies.

HOEDSPRUIT - For the past two years Rhino Revolution has been fund raising, both locally and globally, in an effort to build a facility in the local area that can best serve the reserve owners, veterinarians, anti-poaching personnel, National Parks Authorities etc., who continue to be blighted by this ever increasing decimation of our rhino population.

Some of the babies have had a very sad early life, while others are the happy offspring of Moholoholo residents, but they all contribute to higher stress levels for Brian Jones, centre manager, and his staff!
